WORK WITH CHILDREN
Lamplight Artists has created a partnership event for the local church called All About Kids Productions. AAKP is an exciting, community-focused, performing arts day camp. Designed to help kids explore Biblical truth and build friendships in a fun and interactive setting, the production week meets kids where they are naturally at their best – in stories, music, and role-play. Led by a four-person team from Lamplight Artists, AAKP is an easy and lively addition to any church’s summer ministries.
Since producing the first camp in the summer of 2002 in the Baltimore/Washington corridor, AAKP has now (2017) been produced in nine states, involving over 10,000 children and volunteers.
AAKP was privileged to lead the 500 voice kids’ choir at Kidzfest, the Saturday morning event of the Franklin Graham Festival held at Oriole Park in Baltimore’s Camden Yards.
AAKP was also honored to be a part of the opening night of the SBC national convention in the Baltimore convention center.
WORK WITH DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN
Through AAKP, Lamplight Artists works with the children’s home in Monroe, Louisiana, and in the inner cities of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg.
WORK WITH MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Lamplight Artists produced the Youth Performing Arts Camp (YPAC) for five summers, attracting hundreds of students from across Maryland and Delaware.
Lamplight Artists directed the conference choir at the Metro-Maryland Youth For Christ’s 3,000 strong Middle School Conference held at the Ocean City Convention Center.
WORK WITH COLLEGE STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
College students and young professionals from across the country participate in Lamplight Artists’ summer internship program. The goal for these artists is that they become passionate in their commitment to Christ as they wrestle with His Lordship over all things.
Beginning with a two-week Training Intensive, interns then spend six weeks in the field, traveling and producing AAKP camps. Through this very hands on approach, interns gain valuable experience in professional development – production, teaching, coaching, directing, time management and people skills. They also gain invaluable experience in learning how to trust God through all the twists and turns that come with life on the road, the stress of putting a show together every week, and the spiritual battles that come as they share Christ with hundreds of kids and staff.
